Karlsruhe Web Monday. Or: Let's talk about Location and Music.

How terrific. Germany's Webmontag found its way to Karlsruhe. Germany's capitol with regard to searching for Web 2.0 according to Google Trends. As Johannes pointed out.
So you think it was all no more than just another geek gathering?
Maybe it was. But it still was some worthy place to hang out at and have some chatty smalltalk. Like about whether (or more precisely: why) almost all the better known German prose bloggers seem to be writing from either Berlin or further up north. You know: all those Ankes, Dons, Lyssas, MC Winkels, Merlixens, msias, Paulsens, Pias, and all those other fine word artists. It's not that there are no bloggers around here. There are. But they do seem to focus differently.
And if all this Web talking and listening wasn't good enough already just by itself, DLF also sported some Italian Jazz music by Roberto Gato for the way home. That's what I call appropriately rounding off an interesting evening.
And while I'm at it: There are interesting non-geek Web 2.0 applications out there. Lots. Like MusicMoz which I was talking about with some people tonight. Appropriately, the site seems to be down at the moment.
